In the past year or so, we have been seeing a trend on social and stream media about teaching children to consent in order to protect themselves from sexual abuse. In 2014, the “yes means yes” positive consent law was passed in California and reads as follows: "...the policy shall include all the following: (1)An affirmative consent standard in the determination of whether consent was given by both parties to sexual activity.” It requires schools who provide Health Education courses, to teach positive consent. In 2015, AB 329 was passed, requiring the teaching of Comprehensive Sex Education and HIV Prevention to 7th-12th graders, but it is permissible to teach to younger grades. Since January 2016, CA school districts are required to choose from 5 state approved CSE curriculums, which include teaching consent and informing students 12 and over, of their sexual and reproductive rights as well as their confidentiality rights as given by AB 499 and SB 138 respectively. Because of AB 329, the CA Health Framework for Public and Charter schools had to be modified and the Department of Education took the liberty of extending CSE, Consent, and the use of Gender-Neutral Pronouns from TK-12 grade.
In 1983, two members of the Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE), a group advocating for the right of adults to have sex with children, were interviewed and both argued children’s right to sexual freedom. When the host referred to the shocking experience of a child having sex with an adult, Steven Adrian answered: “not if children are properly educated about sex, I think it's an obligation of society to see that children are given formal Comprehensive Sexual Education on the far earlier age.” He then continued stating that: “pedophiles develop a mutual sexuality with the child, it’s an entirely reciprocal relationship…a child is able to recognize a pleasurable experience, is able to recognize a pleasing emotional experience, is able to express consent and recognize something he wishes to continue, and a responsible caring pedophile always refers to the wishes of the child.” In 2006, Phillip Distasio from Ohio, a member of the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), and who is facing 74 charges of rape, drugs, and pandering obscenity to minors, stated that “children have the ability to consent to sexual relations with adults. The only reason I’m charged with rape is that no one believes a child can consent to sex.”
According to Dr. John De Cecco, an “outed” pedophile Editorial Board member of Paidika: The Journal of Paedophilia, stated in his proposed “Child’s Sexual Bill of Rights,” children must have sexual and reproductive rights, be able to fully explore their sexuality, freedom to choose loving and sexual relationships, including parent, siblings or other responsible adults. Throughout this 1977 Manifesto, the use of ‘Co’ and ‘Cos’ is widely used, and states at the bottom of it: In the Bill the new unisexual pronouns are used: co for he/she/him/her and cos for his/hers. Disturbingly, on 03/04/18 Kathy Rue introduced these pronouns in Tucker Carlson Tonight, as “new pronouns” accepted by the LGBTQIA community and different colleges and universities from California, Georgia, and Vanderbilt.
Somehow, these three concepts expressed by pedophiles more than 30 years ago, have been legislated and have made their way to our children through the public education system. The new Health Framework, adopted in May, specifically states that “students will explore their sexuality and identities throughout their school years and beyond their high school years" (Ch.1). On Chapter 6, it previously stated: "Students will evaluate laws related to sexual involvement with minors by inviting the local American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Planned Parenthood…” but it wasn't until parents heavily complained to the California Department of Education, that they removed that instruction "from the written portion of the framework." It is unclear if that guidance will still be available to teachers and administrators through their resource website. The ACLU represented NAMBLA in a 2000 lawsuit presented by the parents of a murdered and raped 10-year old boy whose murderer was found with literature from NAMBLA’s website showing members how to gain children’s trust, gain access to children nationwide, and avoid police investigating.
If the legal age of consent in California is still 18, why are our children being sexualized in schools and why is the Department of Education giving the ACLU and Planned Parenthood free access to our children’s schools? Our legislators have forgotten they are public servants, accountable to us, the taxpayers. Instead of protecting the citizens, they’re putting our children at a greater risk and manipulating the law to keep our hands tied.
